The Way I Dealt With Sinusitis And Its Symptoms This Season

Sinusitis And Its Symptoms

Sinusitis And Its Symptoms: Hey there! I’m an Alex Sara girl and lately, it started to smell like winter. Personally, I hate season-changing because it often triggers a sinusitis attack. Don’t get me wrong, I love winter, but not what is doing to my body. I have acute sinusitis for four years now, and most doctors say to keep it under control. But, when seasons change, my body suffers some changes too. I feel a sudden pressure at the head level, especially in my forehead, I start sneezing frequently and my nose seems to launch tons of mucus for a chemical bomb. My pockets are stuffed with tissues and Vicks Vaporub. What can I do? Well, I lay in bed for a couple of days and I try all sorts of remedies to get back on my feet again.

I honestly tell you that I’m a master in home remedies for sinusitis since I discovered that over-the-counter medicines are just a waste of money. But, I got some sort of immunity to some of them so, I have to try new home remedies for sinusitis each season.

Lately, I discovered, at least it does wonder with my sinusitis symptoms, a remedy based on hydrogen peroxide and sea salt which I successfully combined with tea tree oil steam inhalations. In less than a day the head pressure slows down and the nose is not runny anymore.

How I prepare it? Let me tell you!

The first step is to put 300 ml of water to boil in a small pot. Take the pot off the heat and place it on a heating pad then add 3-4 drops of essential tea tree oil. Bonus tip: I added in the boiling water 1 tablespoon of thyme.
Then, cover your head with a towel and inhale as much steam as you can. Mucus will get out of your nose so you better take the tissue pack near you.

The second step is to take the neti pot and add 6 ounces of warm filtered water with 1/2 teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide and 1 teaspoon of sea salt. Make sure the salt dissolves in the solution.

Remember! Repeat these two remedies every 3-4 hours on the first day. The second day repeat it 3 times a day. You will feel improvement after the first use.

  • 3-4 drops of tea tree oil
