What do you know about organic gardening? Do you have some gardening techniques? If you do, do you wish to improve upon them? Is what you’re using working with your organic garden or against it? If you cannot answer these questions confidently, look at the tips below to help grow a better organic garden.
Pick the right plants. Certain plants will have an easier time germinating than others, and will guarantee a better harvest for the beginning organic gardener. Good choices include hardy varieties of cabbage, cauliflower, and herbs, but of course, you have to choose those plants which are going to do well in your climate.
Be sure to test your soil before you plant your garden, if you want to be successful without the need for chemicals. A home testing kit can tell you the pH of your soil, which indicates the likelihood of plant survival. A vegetable garden requires a pH of about 6.5; if your soil is off, you can supplement before your plants start to die.
When you buy seeds for your garden, be sure to purchase seeds that are labeled “certified organic.” This ensures that your plants will be organic throughout their lifespan and that the seeds you are buying aren’t contaminated with chemical fertilizers or pesticides. Watch out for labels, such as “genetically engineered” or any mention of “natural” that does not include the phrase “certified organic.”
To keep air flowing through your compost pile, stand a large PVC pipe with punched holes in the center of your pile so the air flows up and down the pipe, and then through the holes directly into the pile. The air movement helps your soil decomposers create the heat needed to jumpstart the decay process.
Make easy work of washing your organic produce with a laundry basket. As you pick your produce, lay them in a plastic laundry basket, which works as a strainer. Hold the hose over the top and the water can make quick work of rinsing all the dirt and other matter off of your fruits and veggies.
Fertilize your soil with organic compost. Organic gardeners tend to fertilize their soil twice in one season: once prior to planting, and then again in the middle of a growth cycle. The best fertilizer to use is an organic compost, as it releases nutrients slowly unlike chemical fertilizers, which release nutrients in one go and then lose their effect.
Encourage toads to take up residence in your organic garden. Toads are a natural predator of many of the pesky bugs that will eat and destroy your crops. Create makeshift toad houses out of overturned broken clay pots and keep soil nice and moist to make it conducive to amphibian life.
If you plan on starting an organic garden, you should always properly cover your seeds. If your seeds are not properly covered, then they will not grow. You should aim to cover most of your seeds about three times as deep as the thickness of your seeds in order to ensure optimum growth. However, certain seeds, such as alyssum and snapdragons, should not be covered because they need a lot of light to germinate.
Choose a site for fruit trees depending on their specific requirements. Most fruit trees require 8 hours of sun per day. Morning sun is important, as it dries dew rapidly, helping to prevent fungus. Avoid planting fruit trees in a low spot in the garden where frost or cold air can collect. Some fruit trees are especially susceptible to late frost damage, and are better planted on a north-facing slope. This is especially true for peach, plum, cherry and apricot trees.
To help spread mulch easily, you can use a flat-head rake or a bow. If you are using a rake, you should use the rakes tined edge to pull and spread your mulch. Use the flat side of the rake to even your mulch on the bed. You will want to use a light push then pull action.
For organic fertilizer to use around the plants in your garden and flower beds, start a compost bin made from all-organic material that would otherwise be wasted. Pitch in yard clippings, leaves, vegetable peelings, eggshells and coffee grounds, turning the contents of the bin often. In just a short time, you will have great material to mix with your soil that will provide nutrients and nourishment to your plants without added chemicals.
Fill your gardens with flowers. You shouldn’t spend too much time and energy planting annual types of flowers as they will only last one season. Keep these types in a limited area of your garden. For larger areas, go with perennials. That way you will have flowers again next year.
In your organic garden, try using floating row covers to prevent moths from laying eggs on your plants. Floating row covers, which are made from lightweight material that has been specially designed to allow light and water to penetrate it, can be used as an effective cover for your plants to stop moths from laying eggs. This helps to protect your plants from caterpillar damage later in the growing season.
The best way to spread mulch on your organic garden is with a flat-headed rake. A flat-headed rake is effectively two tools in one. You can use the tined side to distribute mulch over fresh areas. When you flip the rake over, its flat side makes an efficient tool for smoothing your mulch and making sure it is distributed evenly.
Grow organic herbs to add some flavor to your cooking and brighten up your yard. Herbs make great landscape plants: add them to a bed or pot in your yard. They are wonderful to flavor foods you cook, offer fragrance and have medicinal properties. Herbs are very easy to grow and actually thrive on neglect.
Are you more informed when it comes to organic gardening? Do you have a gardening technique or do you have a better gardening technique now? Can you now use things that work with your organic garden? Hopefully, the tips above should have given you advice on growing a better organic garden.
Hi! I’m Tara from Treble in the Kitchen and I am so happy to be guest blogging for Danielle today! Danielle and I connected a while back, and I have loved keeping up with her healthy approach to running your own business. She has so much good advice to offer! Treble in the Kitchen is my little corner of the web where I love sharing my latest kitchen experiments (mostly healthy, some not!), my latest workouts, and bits and pieces of my life.
While I am a Bodypump instructor and certified personal trainer, I recently started going to school full-time to fulfill my longtime dream of becoming a Registered Dietitian. The great thing about my schooling is that I am doing it through a DISTANCE learning program, which means I get to create my own schedule and I can work from home…much like an entrepreneur!
That being said, I completely understand that when you work from home you really are working all the time, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing but does make it difficult to squeeze activity and fitness into the day.
I’ve created a great arm workout that focuses on light weight and high repetition. I love to use this workout as a little screen-time break in the middle of my day, but you could tag this workout on to an outdoor run or walk or fit it in wherever YOU feel the need to move your body.
2 light dumbbells (around 5 lbs)
Complete 20 repetitions of each exercise and repeat the circuit 2-3 times. Focus on keeping the body in alignment, bracing your midsection, and maintaining good form.
*If you are making any major changes to your fitness routine, please make sure to speak with a medical professional first!
Boat Pose with Drawbridge Arms: Sit with your upper back at a 45 degree angle. Bend your knees and place your feet flat on the ground. Feet should be hip distance apart, and you can lift them off the ground to engage the ab muscles getting into boat pose. Hold one dumbbell in each hand with your arms in a goal post position, both arms in 90 degree angles. While maintaining the angle in your arms, lower the weights to the ground so your forearms are parallel to the floor. Bring the arms back to starting position and repeat 20 times.
Plank with Single Arm Bicep Curl: Begin in plank position, while holding onto two dumbbells. Hands should be under your shoulders and feet slightly wider than your hips. Lift one arm, while keeping the hips square to the ground. Extend the arm out away from the body, then curl the dumbbell in towards your shoulder targeting your bicep. Return back to the extended position and repeat the exercise 20 times on this side before repeating on the other side. This can be completed on the knees if your hips are moving.
Plank Tricep Kickback: Begin in plank position, holding on to two dumbbells as described above. Keeping the elbow in close to the body, draw the elbow up so the weight is right by your ribcage. Extend the arm backwards, targeting the tricep muscle (the back of the arm). Bring the weight back to starting position and repeat the exercise 20 times on this side before repeating on the other side. This can be completed on the knees if your hips are moving.
Boat Pose with Pec Fly: Return to boat pose as described in the first exercise. Hold one dumbbell in each hand as you extend your arms out in front of your body. As you keep the belly button pulled into the spine and the ribs hugged close together, open and close the arms to target the chest muscles. Repeat 20 times.
W Arms: Place your feet flat on the ground and sit with your upper body at a 45 degree angle. Hold one dumbbell in each hand and extend your arms out from your shoulders at 45 degree angles. Draw your elbows down towards your waist line and create a W shape with your arms. As you make this motion, squeeze your shoulder blades together to target the upper back. Repeat 20 times.
Are you ready for a challenge? For the next 7 days, you will be doing workouts designed to challenge you and your midsection. There’s more to creating toned and defined abs than crunches. A lot more.
For additional tips on uncovering those muscles and getting some gorgeous abs, follow these 7 recommendations:
1. Drink water throughout the day and always have some on hand when doing this challenge.
2. Eat smaller portions.
3. Eliminate refined sugar and grains. Instead, eat whole grains and foods that don’t have added sugar.
4. Avoid sodas – diet included.
5. Consider eating more often, 5-6 times each day. Remember, meals should not be standard restaurant portions but rather mini meals. Eating on salad plates instead of dinner-sized plates is a good start.
6. Eat breakfast and you’re more likely to stick to a smaller portions throughout the day. Try some SkinnyMs. smoothie recipes.
7. After this challenge has ended, be sure to continue doing ab workouts three times weekly. You will find lots of routines right here at SkinnyMs.
Let’s get started! You’ll need water, a yoga mat, determination, and an agreement with yourself to see this through for the entire 7 days. Some of the workouts in this 7 day Ab Challenge will require either a workout partner to track your time or an Interval Timer. Below you will find video demos for each workout. Be sure to watch each one for correct form.
Remember, you can split your workout if necessary. Just be sure to complete the entire workout by the end of the day.
– Complete 1 Circuit = 200 reps…move from one exercise to the next with little to no rest.
Bicycle Crunch – 50 reps (25 each side)
Reverse Crunch – 50 reps
Mason Twist – 50 reps (25 each side)
Leg Lifts – 25 reps
Push Through – 25 reps
– 8 Minute ABS, Level One – Be sure to watch the video once so you’ll know how to do each exercise before beginning. This routine is challenging, but that’s way this is called “7 Day Ab Challenge”.
Foot to Foot Crunch – 30 reps
Alternating Curls – 30 reps
Recovery – 30 seconds Push Through – 30 reps
4 Time Abs – 30 reps
Recovery – 30 seconds Arm Reaching Crunch – 30 reps
Leg Up Touch Crunch – 30 reps
Recovery – 30 seconds Cross On Crunch – 30 reps
Double Crunch – 30 reps
Perform two interval circuits. This type of workout is hardcore but effective. You will need less than 10 minutes for today’s workout. Here’s how it works:
Complete routine #1 and repeat one additional time. Rest 1 minute then begin routine #2 and repeat one time. This type of workout continues to burn fat for up to 24 hours.
Here’s the breakdown for the circuits:
20 seconds for each exercise + 10 seconds rest = 30 seconds
30 x 8 = 240 seconds / 60 seconds = 4 minutes
The cooler weather is upon us and even though I live in the desert, it can get chilly here! We wait all summer long to bring out the sweaters, unpack the boots from the back of the closet and bring out the soft cozy blankets. It doesn’t need to be bitter cold to be ready to enjoy a warm fire in the fireplace.
So what adds nicely to this beautiful picture? Warm FOOD! Bring out the casseroles and cakes and crock-pots. Basically anything you can make that warms up the kitchen and your belly! If you are anything like me, this is your favorite time of the year for a good soup!
There are plenty of places that serve a good bowl of soup, some with bread bowls and baguettes. Typically they taste great and are a perfect quick bite to grab for a lunch or your boyfriend who’s sick (again). But as I go from place to place and stare at the menus, it’s always the same soups. You’ve got your broccoli cheese, your chicken noddle soup, a good tomato, etc.
This year, I need something more! Something beyond the basic soup recipes that we all eat day after day. So I have scoured the best recipes out there to give you some new soup recipes to try this winter. None of these recipes are difficult to make but they will definitely make you want to stay away from the broccoli cheese for awhile (If that’s possible!).
Best Unique Soup Recipes
Slow Cooker Creamy White Chicken Chili. Anything that’s creamy and made with chicken is a hit with me. I love the dollop of sour cream you can add to this. Make it thicker like chili or a thinner sauce to be more soup-like.
Asiago Roasted Garlic Cauliflower Soup. If you are a big broccoli cheese fan, then this is a must for you. Asiago is a delicious cheese and added with cauliflower and little garlic... amazing!
Thai Curry Vegetable Soup. I love recipes that take beloved dishes and make them something new. If you’re craving a night of Thai food, try making this soup recipe and become obsessed!
Lemon Chicken Orzo Soup. Lemon Chicken is one of the most popular dinner recipes around. This soup recipe will be no different. The tanginess of a lemon and all the spices make this a soup recipe you will want to make often.
Easy Thai Shrimp Soup. Shrimp is a favorite of mine and I am always trying to find new ways to use it. This amazing soup recipe not only included shrimp but the amazing taste of a good Thai dish.
Ham and Potato Cheddar Soup. Ham and cheesy potatoes is a favorite meal in our house. Mix it up a little and create a tasty soup out of it. Works great with leftovers from Easter dinner.
One Pot Chicken and Rice Fajita Soup. This great recipe is packed with your favorite fajita ingredients. The rice adds little bit of a twist to a Mexican dish but trust me, you’ll love it!
Mexican Street Corn Soup. I didn’t even know what Mexican Street Corn was until I moved to Arizona. This treat is super popular and the first I ever heard of it becoming a soup. If you’re looking for something new, give this a try.
Clear Watery Discharge as an Early Sign of Pregnancy.Seeing a watery cervical mucus can be quite frightening, especially if you are trying to conceive.
A woman’svaginal dischargechanges from time to time in her menstrual cycle.
The changes in vaginal fluid is controlled by the rising and falling level of the estrogen hormone.
Some women experience a watery discharge before period while some women have creamy discharge before period.
Women who have excessive watery discharge before period really have high levels of estrogen hormone than women who have sticky or creamy discharge.
The absence of menstruation or a missed period is one of the best ways to determine if you need to take a pregnancy test.
causes of Watery Vaginal Discharge
After conception, the level of the estrogen and progestrone hormone starts rising to support the new life. This rising level of estrogen causes blood to flow to the pelvic.Higher level of estrogen usually result in increase in vaginal fluid.
The discharge gets a lot more in the second and third trimester than the first trimester. This is because of the ever increasing level of estrogen hormone throughout pregnancy.
Towards the end of pregnancy the watery discharge may become yellow in colour.See your health care provider,If you notice lots of water, tricking or dripping out of your vagina in your last trimester.
This could be your water breaking.
At ovulation the consistency of your cervical fluid is resembles egg white. This slippery and wet mucus provides a friendly environment for the sperm to survive in while it journeys upward to reach the egg.
Some women don’t have enough slippery or wet cervical mucus at ovulation. Not having enough cervical mucus, makes it possible for the sperm to be easily damaged.
Increased Level of estrogen Hormone
A watery discharge could happen before or during periods, before ovulation of after ovulation.
Women with estrogen dominance experience excessive watery discharge as an early sign of pregnancy.
This watery discharge could be milky or clear.A thin milky discharge before a missed period is known as leukorrhea.
Other signs of Pregnancy before a missed period
one of the earliest signs of pregnancy is a sore breast with a tingling sensation. An increasing level of estrogen also causes the breast to appear fuller.A sore breast may start about a week to when your period is expected.
By the time you get to the second trimester, your breast may stop feeling sore. This is because your hormones are more balanced than in the first trimester.
Lower abdominal cramps is also one of the early pregnancy symptoms.
Cramping happens around the time of implantation.During implantation the fertilised egg attaches it self to the walls of your womb. This is a safe and secure home it will leave in for the next 36 weeks.
Not all women have cramps as an early sign of pregnancy. So don’t fret if you don’t notice this or you have a slight pain instead.
Spotting or bleeding may also occur during implantation. One of the ways to know if you are pregnant is if you have a light pink or reddish discharge about a week to when your period is due,
This discharge is is different from your normal period because it usually last for a day or two.It is lighter than your normal period.
When you fall pregnant, your body starts to pump more blood than usual.Women who suffer iron deficiency anaemia, may feel more fatigue and tired.
Also increasing level of progesterone hormone, is also a culprit of the tiredness you feel in first trimester.
Some women may feel tired through out pregnancy. But most women feel tired in first and last trimester.
Nauseated feeling is also a symptom you may experience if pregnant.
Although the cause of nausea and vomiting is not really known. But research suggest that nausea and vomiting may be linked hormonal changes that happen rapidly in the first trimester.

Tacos. We need to talk about tacos.
My intro-writing skills are on point, amirite? Pass the cold brew; it’s gonna be a long day.
At one magical point in time, I began a love affair with fish tacos. I fell under their spell and haven’t been able to tear myself away ever since. If they’re an option on a menu, you bet your booty I’m ordering them. If the local seafood market has a sale? Fish tacos for everyone!!! I play favorites with my food and regret nothing.
Then one day I let my husband do the grocery shopping.
Frozen shrimp were on sale. Buy one get one free, to be exact. And just like that, my deep freezer was filled with no less than six jumbo bags of shrimp.
But wait, there’s more. This darling pilot of mine did one more quick grocery run for me two weeks later and shrimp were on sale… AGAIN!
Naturally he forgot about all past transgressions and bought. more. shrimp.
I’m now terrified of my freezer.
From this point onwards, all tacos will be shrimp tacos.
Spoiler alert: The moment these tacos entered my face I lost all fear of the shrimptastrophe my husband unleashed on our home because OMG THESE TACOS!
They’re so good.
SO. FLIPPING. GOOD.
Paul, if you’re reading this, thank you so much for your incompetence. Whoops! I mean- your awesomeness. You’re super awesome and I will totally make you these face rocking tacos this week. Also, sorry I didn’t share any the first time. #hungrygirlproblems

Spicy Sriracha Shrimp Tacos with Cilantro Lime Slaw
AUTHORJENN LAUGHLIN – PEAS AND CRAYONS
These Spicy Sriracha Shrimp Tacos are fast, flavorful, and topped with a zesty Cilantro Lime Slaw that will rock yours socks!
*No avocado oil? No problem! Use olive oil, coconut oil, or your favorite healthy oil.
**If making these dairy-free, grab a paleo-friendly or dairy-free ranch or feel free to make your own at home! YUM!
***I used a combination of green and purple cabbage but feel free to use what you have on hand!
Clean and peel shrimp, defrosting if needed. Lately we’ve been buying frozen, deveined, easy-peel shrimp. All I have to do is defrost, peel, and cook! You can also buy your shrimp already peeled if you’d like!
Set prepped shrimp in the fridge, covered while you make your slaw and sauce.
For the Sriracha Ranch, simply whisk together both ingredients. For a spicier sauce, add extra Sriracha to taste.
For the Cilantro Lime Slaw, remove the stem/seeds/ribs from the jalapeño, cut into strips and mince. Combine with cabbage, apple cider vinegar, honey, salt, and pepper. Cut your lime in half and add juice of half the lime into your slaw. Toss together and add as much cilantro as your heart desires! Slice the remaining half into wedges for your tacos. Adjust honey to taste and set aside to marinate while you cook the shrimp.
Pat shrimp dry and season with paprika, cayenne, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well to coat both sides.
Heat a large pan or skillet to medium-high heat with 1 TBSP of oil and sauté your shrimp. Cook on each side for about 2 minutes until shrimp curl and become opaque. The cook time will depend on the heat setting you choose and the size of your shrimp, but regardless they’ll be perfectly cooked in a matter of minutes.
Place your shrimp on a clean cutting board and chop into smaller pieces, much like you were coarsely chopping an onion. This extra step helps prevent the shrimp from dive-bombing out of your taco and onto your plate/lap/floor and makes them way easier to eat!
Line your corn tortillas with shrimp and top with a hearty drizzle of sauce. Double up on corn tortillas if desired to prevent breakage (see notes) – I like to gently warm my corn tortillas up in the microwave or on a skillet before stuffing them. So good!
Top with slaw, serve with lime wedges, and dig in!
TORTILLA TIP: The amount of tortillas you use will depend on two factors: how many you’re serving and how full you’re stuffing each tacos. If you’re making 6 smaller tacos you may be able to get away with just 6 single tortillas. Stuffing the filling into 4 or 5 tacos? Double up on the tortillas to prevent tearing. I learned this trick from our local tex-mex restaurants and have been doubling up on my tortillas ever since! You can even double up if you’re making 6 tacos – whatever works!
As for the cilantro, use as much or as little as you’d like!
Not a fan of cilantro? No problem! Skip the cilantro entirely and jazz up the flavor of your slaw using thinly sliced red onion instead.

Wondering what cervical mucus before period should look and feel like?.Or what is the early pregnancy discharge before missed period. We explained in details in this post what your CM right before menstruation should look like if pregnant and if not pregnant.
What is cervical mucus?
Cervical mucusalso known as cervical fluidis a vaginal discharge produced by the glands in the cervix.
The cervix is a passage that connects the vagina to the uterus.
The color, texture and consistency of your CM changes through out your menstrual cycle. These changes are influenced by changes in your hormone levels.
If you are trying to get pregnant, tracking your cervical mucus is one of the ways to determine when you are most fertile.
Your cervical discharge serves the vagina in the following ways:
It aids conception by providing a sperm friendly environment for the sperm to thrive and nourish in
It also protects the uterus from bacteria and germ by producing thick mucus that is not penetrable
WHAT DOES CERVICAL MUCUS LOOK LIKE BEFORE PERIOD / Cervical discharge right before period (pictures)
This is what you cervical mucus looks like before menstruation
CM a few days to your period is usually thick, creamy and sticky due to the presence of progesterone hormone.
But this can differ if you have an hormonal imbalance issue, it can appear more milky white.
A creamy discharge means you are not fertile and it serves as a mucus plug to prevent sperm from entering in the uterus.
What is the right Cervical Position and mucus before period?
The position of your cervix and the mucus discharge it produces changes throughout your menstrual cycle.
After ovulation, your cervix becomes more firm and also drops lower. If pregnancy occurs the cervix will move up and become more soft.
What is a Period?
A period is the shedding of the uterine lining around two weeks after ovulation.
At the beginning of the menstrual cycle a follicle stimulating hormone(FSH) instructs the ovaries to produce eggs. The FSH also triggers the production of estrogen hormone.
Estrogen hormone starts the process of thickening the lining of the uterus in preparation for pregnancy.
Towards the middle of your cycle the estrogen level reaches its highest.
This rise in estrogen hormone also makes the cervix to produce an increased egg white cervical mucus.
Also the estrogen hormone at its peak triggers the production of the luteinising hormone(LH).
The luteinising hormone causes an egg to be released within 24 hours after an LH surge.
The progesterone hormone level starts rising gradually to take over from where the estrogen hormone left of.
The progesterone hormone further thickens the lining of the uterus to prepare for embryo implantation should pregnancy occur.
If the egg or ovum released during ovulation isn’t fertilised it disintegrates within 24 hours.
After ovulation, the egg white cervical mucus dries up quickly. You are no longer fertile and you may experience some dry days.
The thickened lining of the uterus is then shed as your menses in the next 14 days after ovulation.
Stages of Cervical Mucus
Dry cervical mucus
The few days after menstruation is known as the dry days.Your CM after menstruation is usually low or dry. This means you are infertile
Creamy Cervical Mucus
Around a week after your menses, your CM starts to look creamy or pasty. This signifies you are entering the fertile phase of your menstrual cycle.
Watery Cervical Mucus
A watery CM means you are a few days away from ovulating. You are in your fertile window.Having sex on these days can result into pregnancy.
Egg White Cervical Mucus
EWCM is the most fertile cervical mucus. It looks just like a raw egg white. It allows sperm to swim easily into the uterus and fallopian tube to fertilise the egg. This is the day of your peak fertility.Egg white mucus is seen during ovulation and it is stretchy, thin and slippery.
Sticky Cervical Mucus
Cervical mucus after ovulation before your period is sticky and thick. This premenstrual mucus signifies that you are no longer fertile. This type of mucus makes it difficult for the sperm to swim past the vagina into the female reproductive organs.
What is the cervical mucus just before period starts…If Pregnant?
If pregnant, the cervical mucus experienced around the time of your expected period will be creamy or milky white discharge (vaginal mucus).
The rise in estrogen and progesterone hormone after conception has occured causes numerous changes in the body.
Changes such as breast soreness or tenderness, early pregnancy discharge(leucorrhea), food craving and aversion.
If you do not experience milky white discharge around the time your period is due, you may still be pregnant.
The presence of leukorrhea is not a major symptom of pregnancy.
The best way to test for pregnancy is by taking a pregnancy test after a missed period.
The difference between cM before period vs cm in early pregnancy Discharge
The cervical mucus before menstruation is usually thick and pasty. It also appears in low quantity because the level of estrogen hormone is low before your period.
But if pregnant, the cervix will produce excessive milky or creamy white discharge due to the rising level of estrogen and progesterone hormone.
In early pregnancy, this discharge is known as leukorrhea.
The vaginal discharge in early pregnancy, is influenced by both the estrogen and progesterone hormone.
The progestrone hormones makes the cervical mucus to appear thick and heavy while the estrogen hormone increases the level of production of the mucus and makes it appear watery and wet.
Also as you progress into the pregnancy, a mucus plug is produced to seal the opening of the cervix in other to prevent bacteria and unwanted elements from entering into the uterus.
If pregnant, you may also notice some implantation bleeding or implantation discharge some days before your period is due.
One of the first signs of pregnancy before a missed period is excessive milky white discharge.
Vaginal discharge during pregnancy is nothing to worry about unless it is itchy, smelly or causes burning sensation while peeing. This could be a sign of an infection.
is egg white discharge before period a sign of pregnancy?
Stretchy cervical mucus two weeks before period is a sign of ovulation.
Egg white cervical mucus is your most fertile cervical mucus and it is usually a sign of ovulation rather than pregnancy.
It is possible to mistake arousal fluid with EWCM since they look very similar.
Most women who experience a watery CM before period do not report getting a BFP from their pregnancy test.
Is Increased Cervical Mucus Before Expected Period A sign of Pregnancy?
An increase in cervical discharge is usually associated with an increase in level of estrogen hormone in the blood.
Before Period, your level of estrogen hormone should be lower than progesterone hormone.
Progesterone hormone is responsible for thick, stick or creamy discharge in the second half of the menstrual cycle.
But if pregnancy occurs, the estrogen and progesterone hormone will start to rise to support the new life.
The rise in these two hormones can cause your vaginal discharge to be excessive milky or creamy white.

Do Fertility Drugs Cause Identical Twins?
You might be asking if fertility drugs cause identical twins?
Identical Twins are formed from a single egg.Whereas non-identical twins are formed from different eggs.
Twins or multiples conceived with fertility drugs are mostly non-identical, this is because the fertility drugs causes 2 or more eggs to be released.
All of the eggs released have the odds of being fertilised by different sperm.

It is important to know that some countries have laws governing some fertility drugs like Clomid and this might not be available over the counter.

Ovulation is the release of an egg from the ovary into the fallopian tube so that it may be fertilised by a sperm.
Your ovaries don’t necessarily take turn each month to release an egg.
Unlike the popular belief that the left side ovary might release an egg this month and then the right side ovary releases an egg next month.
The release of an egg from your two ovaries often happen randomly between the left ovary and the right ovary.
If both ovaries releases an egg then this can lead to unidentical twins.
Ovulation occurs at around the middle of a woman’s cycle ranging from Day 12-Day 16.
So for example, if you have a 28 day cycle with Day 1 being the first day of your period, Ovulation can occur between Day 12- Day 16.
There is a popular misconception that ovulation occurs right at the middle (Day 14) of your menstrual cycle but this isn’t true.
I would strongly suggest that you make use of ovulation predictor kits and get to know your ovulation symptoms.
This will enable you, and also help you to know your exact ovulation date if you are trying to conceive.
The truth is, most women don’t know when they ovulate, so they may be having ovulation pains (which is perfectly normal). But they are thinking “why am I having pains after ovulation”?
This could actually be ovulation happening!.
Pinpointing Ovulation is the first key to knowing if the pains you are having is ovulation pain or pain after ovulation.
Cramping may occur during and after ovulation( i.e 1 or 2 days past ovulation), due to the fact that a lot of changes are happening in your ovaries and your reproductive organs during ovulation.
Hence, the release of a matured egg may sometimes be painful or mild.Although some women don’t feel this pain.
So why am I cramping several days after ovulation?
For you to understand why you are pain after ovulation let’s examine what happens before ovulation, during ovulation and after ovulation.
What Happens Before Ovulation?
Before Ovulation the estrogen hormone tells the ovaries to produce about 20 follicles.
The eggs live in these follicles in order to get matured or ripe.
What Happens During Ovulation?
During Ovulation the most matured egg or the dominant egg is released into the fallopian tube.
Ovulation Pain during the ovulation process itself is caused by the expanding follicle stretching the membrane of the ovary.
What Happens After Ovulation?
The released egg starts to make a slow journey from the fallopian tube to the uterus(womb). The egg will only live for 24 hrs if not fertilised by a sperm.
If fertilised by a sperm it starts to divide into cells while it continues its travels to the uterus (womb).
It takes the fertilised egg 3-4 days to get to the uterus. The fertilised egg then implants itself to the uterine lining on day 7 after ovulation.
Some women have implantation bleeding, spotting or cramps at this time.
This happens due to the fertilised egg burrowing into the uterine lining.
When does Implantation Cramps Occur?
Implantation cramps are felt 6-10 days after ovulation has occurred and may be one of the earliest signs of pregnancy, even before any pregnancy test can detect the HCG levels.
The HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) is known as the pregnancy Hormone.
The HCG level can be detected 11 days after conception by blood test and between 12-14 days after conception by using an early pregnancy test kit.
A key thing to know about HCG is that although HCG is produced after fertilisation. This hormone can’t be detected until implantation has occurred.
Therefore, these implantation cramps occur when the fertilised egg burrows itself into the uterine lining in a process called implantation.
In a much simpler term, implantation cramps occur when the fertilised egg digs into uterine walls by making a hole, in order to attach its self to the walls of the uterus.
Many times, implantation cramping is accompanied by implantation bleeding and spotting.
So let’s take a look at what cramping day by day after ovulation means.
What happens from Ovulation to Implantation
Cramping 1 day after ovulation….am I pregnant?
Let me tell you…it is too early to know if you are pregnant at this time or not.
Besides ovulation pain can last 1-2 days past ovulation.
Remember your body is going through a lot of changes during ovulation.
So to assume if pregnant or not at this time is quite challenging.
If you happen to experience ovulation cramps a day after ovulation, then this could mean it is still the left overs of ovulation pain called Mittleschmerz.
Ovulation takes about 12-24 hours to complete. Most people think ovulation is sudden but no it’s not it takes a period of 12-24 hours.
Even after getting a positive sign from your ovulation predictor kit.Ovulation will still take about 12-24 hours to complete.
So the ovulation pain can linger on to the next day.
Cramping 2 days after ovulation….am I pregnant?
Cramping for the first 2 days after ovulation is normal.
Cramping 2 days after ovulation could mean you are pregnant and it could also mean you’re not.
It is still too early to conclude if pregnant or not at this point.
However, If you had sex and the released egg was fertilised.
The egg is starting to divide into many cells and shouldn’t cause any painful cramping as such at this point.
Remember, there is a lot happening after ovulation as occurred.
On the contrary, If the egg was not fertilised it will disintegrate and absorbed back into the body within 48hrs.
If the egg was fertilised it’ll continue its journey through the fallopian tube heading for the uterus.
As you can see a lot is happening for the first few days after ovulation.
If you’ve severe cramping that doesn’t feel normal or unbearable.I strongly advise you see a doctor.
Cramps 3 days after ovulation….am I pregnant?
At 3-4 days past ovulation the fertilised egg will arrive at the uterus.
The Uterus would be its home for the next 9 months.
Remember if the egg wasn’t fertilised it would’ve disintegrated and absorbed into the body by now.
The lining of the uterus is also made thick by the release of the progesterone hormone.
This is to make a comfortable home for the fertilised egg.
If you’re cramping 3 days after ovulation it’s still too early to know if a pregnancy exist or not.
I’ll suggest you wait a few more days.
Except you are having a painful cramp after ovulation then you should see a doctor it could be caused by other issues.
Cramping 4 days after ovulation….am I pregnant?
For some women it takes 3-4 days for the fertilised egg to arrive in the uterus. So day 3 and 4 after ovulation are similar.
The fertilized egg is dividing into multiple cells even further.
If trying to get pregnant, it is still too early confirm if you are pregnant or not.
Don’t test for pregnancy yet.The result may be inaccurate!.
Cramping 5 days after ovulation….am I pregnant?
Due to many changes happening in the body you may start to feel mild cramping if pregnant.
Not all women feel this cramps.
In fact a lot of women get pregnant without knowing until they see a missed period.
So cramping 5 days after ovulation can mean you are pregnant but you can’t be 100% sure until you take a pregnancy test.
A pregnancy test is the only way you can be sure you are pregnant.
If you try to test for pregnancy with a pregnancy test kit such asthis.
The result will be in accurate because the pregnancy hormone(HCG) to be detected by the pregnancy test is yet to be present in your blood.
As a result, I will advise you to be patient for a few more days after implantation has occurred.
Cramping 6 days after ovulation….am I pregnant?
Cramping 6 days after ovulation is likely to be an early sign of pregnancy if you had sex in your fertile days.
Here is what is happening, the fertilised egg is now preparing to implant itself to the uterine walls.
This preparation for implantation and the implantation process its self can cause cramping.
The fertilised egg starts implantation today for most women.
Cramping 7 days after ovulation….am I pregnant?
Cramping 7 days after ovulation is one of the early signs or symptoms of pregnancy.
It is mostly on this day that the fertilised completes implantation.
Implantation cramps is what you are most likely to feel on this day.
Not all women feel this cramps so don’t be worried if you don’t feel it, you may still be pregnant.
Implantation cramps is also accompanied, most times with implantation bleeding and implantation spotting.
The only accurate method to determine if pregnant or not is by taking a pregnancy test.
At 7 days past ovulation detecting pregnancy maybe a bit difficult.Due to the fact that at this stage the pregnancy hormone HCG that is detected by most pregnancy test is still at low levels.
I’ll advise you wait for a few more days.
Taking a pregnancy test 7 days after ovulation is a bit too early and the result may be inaccurate.
Is Cramping After Ovulation a Sign Of Pregnancy?
I know if you are trying to conceive or even if you’re trying not to, “is cramping days after ovulation..a sign of pregnancy?”Can be a question you desperately need answer to.
The only way you can be 100 percent sure my friend!is if you take a early pregnancy test around the time you are expecting your next period or 2 weeks past ovulation.
Although some early pregnancy test likethis onecan detect pregnancy hormones as early as 10 days past ovulation.
The truth is menstrual like cramping in lower abdomen after ovulation occurs for 3 or more reasons:
Implantation Crampsaround 1 week past ovulation
PMSif you have a short menstrual cycle meaning your next period is about to start.
If the pain is severe it could mean you need to see the doctor.
You can also check other early pregnancy symptoms to see if you are pregnant.
But generally I would recommend you wait 2 weeks post ovulation to see if you are pregnant.
Because testing too early for pregnancy can give a false result which may mean a lot if desperately trying to conceive.
For instance you may be pregnant but because you tested a week post ovulation, the HCG Hormone at this point is so low it is hard to detect in the early pregnancy test thereby giving you a false result.
How long does Implantation Cramping Last For?
Implantation cramps can last for 1 or 2 days.
Implantation cramps occurs around 6-7 days past ovulation when the fertilised egg burrows into the uterine lining.
Implantation occurs around day 6 to day 7 after ovulation, so this is when most cramps after ovulation are felt.
The cramps should be mild not serious.
If you feel severe painful cramps that is not normal then you visit the doctor.
what does pelvic pain/Cramps After Ovulation feel like?
A normal implantation cramp is mild and not severe.
In fact it is not different from you period or menstrual cramp.
Cramping/pain after ovulation are either light pulling, prickling pains or mild twinge at your lower abdomen that usually happens at about a week to your period.
The cramping can either be on your right or your left side
Implantation happens a week to your expected period and around a week after ovulation.
If you feel an intense or painful sensation in your lower abdomen that is severe and unbearable then I would suggest you see your doctor.
Most times implantation cramps are not felt by women because of how mild they are.
Other Causes of Uterus Cramping pain after Ovulation
As we already know, one of the causes of cramping pain after ovulation is pregnancy.
Implantation cramps, implantation bleeding and implantation spotting is an early sign of pregnancy but this cannot be confirmed until a pregnancy test is done.
Other causes of cramping/painful bloating after ovulation includes:
Endometriosis: Endometriosis is a condition in women where the cells in the lining of the uterus(womb) starts growing outside the womb.
Women with endometriosis do experience severe cramps and lower back pains days after ovulation and heavy painful periods.
I would recommend you see a doctor if you are having an unexplainable pain during and after ovulation that is severe and not bearable.
Clomid: Clomid is a medication used for the treatment of infertility in women.
Clomid is used to induce ovulation in women who have problem ovulating or who don’t ovulate regularly.
Some women who take clomid report having lower abdominal pain or discomfort and as well as other post ovulation symptoms such as stomach upset, dizziness, breast tenderness and headache.
If you are taking clomid and have any of these symptoms you should visit your doctor immediately.
Now that we know the possible causes of cramping days after ovulation, what about what causes cramping during ovulation?
Let’s find out…shall we?
Causes of Cramping during Ovulation
Cramping during ovulation is perfectly normal due to the fact that your body is going through a lot of internal changes at this time.
One of the symptoms of ovulation is ovulation cramps or ovulation pain also known as Mittleschmerz.
This pain happens when the ovary releases an egg.
This pain should be dull or sharp pain or prickling pain or even mild twinges.
Ovulation pain can last for 1-2 days or even just for a few minutes.
Treatment of Cramping During Ovulation
Normal Ovulation Cramps can be treated with pain killers such as paracetamol.
Avoid taking ibuprofen if you are trying to conceive as this may disrupt the ovulation process.
You can also take a warm bath and try other natural remedies.
If you have fertility problems like a short luteal phase or low progesterone. You can also use a natural herb likeVitexfor treating fertilityproblems.
